Yeah, I was half tempted to make it a one-sided love (Cross ---> Maria), but I figured it'd be too cheesy. And left it hanging like this instead. This way, not even I can tell whether Maria responded to Cross' reluctant feeling for her. Mwahahahaha.
Writing Cross is so much fun --and easier as hell than writing Allen. ;___; I will write again if I have another struck of idea or epiphany for the characters --or both. Meanwhile, I've yet to see a Cross/Allen from you. *shot*
